Executive candidate to hold roast Oct. 2

The Friends of Ron Szczybor, Republican candidate for county executive, will sponsor a pit beef, ham and turkey roast from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Maryland Sports Arena, 2723 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood.

Mr. Szczybor also will play host for a weekly call-in radio show to address campaign issues from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays in October on WASA Radio, 1330 AM. He can be reached by calling 575-6511 during the show.

Brunch to be held for council candidate

The Committee to Elect Mark Decker for County Council will sponsor a brunch from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Maryland Golf and Country Club.
