Three robbers flee when confronted
An Annapolis police officer drew his gun on three armed men he caught robbing a customer at a gas station Wednesday night, but the brief standoff ended when the robbers fled.
No one was hurt in the confrontation about 11 p.m. at the Exxon station in the 1900 block of 1926 West St.
According to police reports, Officer Edward MacKiewicz drove past the gas station just as the men were robbing Anthony Lionell Moulden, 27, of the first block of Carver St.
Officer MacKiewicz got out of his car, drew his gun and ordered the men to drop their weapons. But the men fled. The officer did not fire.
