The Rev. William Downey, 76, the chaplain who prayed with the flight crew that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, died Monday in Fox Point, Wis.

Arthur B. krim, 84, the former chairman of Orion Pictures Corp. and an influential adviser to three presidents, died Wednesday in New York. A Democrat, he was particularly close to President Lyndon B. Johnson. He was also a friend and adviser to President Jimmy Carter and an early supporter of President John F. Kennedy.

David Osborn, 73, a former U.S. ambassador to Myanmar, died Friday in San Diego of head injuries suffered in a recent bicycle accident.
