Senior forward Heather Miskiewicz scored a goal and added an assist as No. 11 Mercy defeated host and 14th-ranked St. Mary's, 3-1, in a Catholic League A Division girls soccer game yesterday.

Miskiewicz opened the scoring and later assisted Tina Steck to put the Sharpshooters ahead 2-0.

The Saints fall to 2-3.

Lisa Olszewski, a senior goalkeeper for Mercy (4-1-1), made 15 saves in her first game of the season.
