A Pennsylvania woman was killed when she was struck by two vehicles at U.S. 15 and South Seton Avenue in Emmitsburg late Friday night.

Vicky Smith, 22, of Waynesboro, Pa., apparently walked into the path of a southbound 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by John Meixner, 56, of Thurmont, about 11:56 p.m., said state police in Frederick.

Ms. Smith was then struck by a 1982 Ford van driven by Ross Johnson, 56, of Falls Church, Va. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicated the pedestrian was at fault, police said. Neither driver was injured.
