A Hampstead man was struck and killed while walking on Route 27 south of Hahn Road in Westminster at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Maryland State Police at Westminster.

State police said Charles Henry Conway Jr., 54, of the 1300 block of N. Main St. was pronounced dead after apparently walking into the path of a vehicle in the fog.

No charges have been filed against the driver, Joseph Charles Beurer Jr., 20, of the 800 block of Houcksville Road, Hampstead, troopers said.
