No. 3 North County defeated by Prince George's Crossland

TEMPLE HILLS -- Brian Patterson rushed nine times for 50 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns to lift host Crossland of Prince George's County over No. 3 North County, 14-9, yesterday.

Robert Peacock led Crossland rushers with 109 yards.

Victor Impallaria's 46-yard field goal opened the scoring and gave North County a 3-0 advantage. The Knights closed the scoring late in the fourth quarter when Earl Sewell threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Maurice Bowie.

Sewell went 11-of-21 for 229 yards and a touchdown. Lou Brown made eight catches for 148 yards.

Crossland totaled 244 offensive yards, 165 rushing and 79 passing. North County totaled 309 offensive yards, 80 rushing and 229 passing. Both teams had 10 first downs.
