POLICE LOG

* Glenwood: 14600 block of Dorsey Mill Road: Silver, jewelry, coins and a violin were stolen from a home, which also was ransacked, Tuesday. Police said someone took a ladder from a nearby shed and used it to get to a second-floor bedroom window.

* Woodbine: 6300 block of Old Washington Road: A wallet and a briefcase were stolen from a home early Wednesday morning. Police said a second-floor window screen was removed but that the front door was found unlocked and ajar.
