1.Bob Ward Homes Inc. has begun building a model of the Redwood at Brighton Square in Bel Air, where the firm is offering six different two-story Colonial homes on one-fifth-acre lots. Forty houses will be built.
The Redwood has 2,230 square feet of living space and a base price of $189,900. A two-story foyer is flanked by a 14-by-14-foot living room on the right and a powder room and the 11-by-11-foot dining room on the left.
Across the rear of the house there is a 20-by-13-foot family room and a kitchen and morning room, both 11-by-10-foot. A library can adjoin the living room.
The second-floor master suite has a 17-by-15-foot bedroom, two closets and a bath with a soaking tub, separate shower and dual vanities. Three additional bedrooms, a full hall bath, a linen closet, laundry area and a plant shelf complete this level.
The Elm, a 1,930-square house with a two-car garage, is the least expensive home offered with a base price of $165,900.
The sales center is open from noon to 6 p.m. daily. Take Harford Road north to Route 24 north to a left on Red Pump Road to a right on Carrs Mill Road to a right on Marcham Road.

Cypresspointe
2.NV Homes has begun construction in the third section of Cypresspointe in Severna Park, where 12 two-story Colonial homes will be built on quarter-acre lots.
The model will be the Madison, which has 2,506 square feet of living space and a starting price of $250,000. A marble gas fireplace is standard in the 16-by-13-foot family room, which also has transom windows, French doors and a cathedral ceiling.
The first floor also has an eat-in kitchen, 15-by-12-foot formal dining room with crown molding and chair rails, 14-by-12-foot living room, two-story foyer, powder room and mud/laundry room.
Upstairs, the master suite has a 19-by-14-foot bedroom with a cathedral ceiling, his-and-her walk-in closets and a bath with a soaking tub, separate shower, dual vanities, linen closet and toilet with privacy door.
Three more bedrooms with walk-in closets and a full hall bath with dual vanities complete the second floor.
With a starting price of $270,000 for 2,896 square feet, the Richmond is the largest and most expensive house being built at Cypresspointe.
Standard features include a masonry wood-burning fireplace in the 19-by-15-foot family room. Upstairs there is a master suite with a 21-by-14-bedroom and a bath with a soaking tub, separate shower and dual vanities.
