Three Upper Marlboro men were arrested Wednesday night and charged in the robbery of a North Laurel liquor store.
Howard County police said two men entered Whiskey Bottom Liquors in the 9100 block of All Saints Road about 9:25 p.m., ordering a clerk and two customers to the floor after one of the men displayed a handgun. A third suspect, already at the rear of the store, forced two employees to remain in a walk-in refrigerator. A fourth man waitted outside in a parked car, police said.
Two of the men took cash from several registers, and all three fled. After realizing their car had a flat tire, the four men ran away, police said.
Charged with robbery, use of a handgun in a felony and assault were Vincent Joseph Davis, 18, of the 3300 block of Poplar Drive; Jermaine Isaac Davis, 20, of the 3300 block of Melwood Road; and Kendo Arvon Batson, 18, of the 9100 block of Lincoln Ave.
The three were being held yesterday on $250,000 bail each at the Howard County Detention Center, a District Court commissioner said.
