BALTIMORE -- Police were seeking a bicyclist wearing dreadlocks in connection with the fatal shooting early todayFriday of a 25-year-old man near his E. 20th Street home.
Eastern District police responding to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of E. 20th St. around 2:30 a.m. found the victim, James Nathaniel Horsey, lying on the pavement a short distance from his home.
The man had been shot at least once and was transported to John Hopkins Hospital, where he died at 3:12 a.m.
Witnesses told police they saw a black man with dreadlocks riding away from the scene on a bike toward Greenmount Avenue.
Police knew of no motive for the slaying and asked anyone having information about the homicide or the identity of the suspect to call the homicide squad at 396-2100.
