A man armed with a handgun robbed a Shell service station in Jessup early yesterday and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, county police said.

The gunman walked in the front door of the station in the 2700 block of Annapolis Road shortly before 6 a.m. and demanded the money. The station clerk turned over the money from the cash register, and the robber fled north on Clark Road, police said.
