* North Laurel: 9000 block of Stebbing Way: A blue 1992 Ford Mustang with Maryland tags APV 323 was stolen Wednesday morning, police said.

* Jessup: 7400 block of Assateague Drive: A car thief stole a blue 1987 Chevrolet Camaro from the Truckers' Inn on Wednesday afternoon and left a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass in its place. The Oldsmobile had been stolen from the lot at The Mall in Columbia earlier the same day, police said.
