Police arrest man after I-95 chase

Maryland State Police have charged a District of Columbia man with two traffic violations after a high-speed chase on Interstate 95 that involved seven police cars, caused five accidents and injured four people.

Police said they began pursuing a 1989 Jaguar that a trooper clocked at 110 mph on northbound I-95 near Edgewood about 7 p.m. Thursday.

According to police, the driver failed to stop and drove through the toll booth at the Millard E. Tydings Memorial Bridge. The driver, Graeme James Thompson, 63, was charged with fleeing and eluding police and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
