FIRE

* Eldersburg: Sykesville responded to a pole fire on Mineral Hill Road at 12:20 a.m. Friday. Units were out for 25 minutes.

* Gamber: Gamber, Westminster and Winfield responded to a barn fire in the 2700 block of Old Washington Road at 12:34 a.m. Friday. The blaze, started by lightning, kept fire fighters at the site for 90 minutes.

Gamber, Reese and Westminster responded to a house fire on Nicholson Road at 12:13 a.m. Friday. Units were out for 25 minutes.

* Sykesville: Sykesville and West Friendship of Howard County were dispatched to investigate the report of a fire alarm in a building on Village Road at 7:01 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 15 minutes.
