* Oakland Mills: 9300 block of Torrent Row: A 14-year-old boy was beaten by three other youths and his BB rifle was taken as he walked along a footpath Tuesday night, police said.

* Scaggsville: 7600 block Murray Hill Road: An officer responding to an alarm at a High's store Thursday found a front door pried open. At least $50 in cash and 12 cartons of cigarettes were stolen, police said.

* Owen Brown: 9000 block of Snowden River Parkway: A black 1992 Jeep Wrangler with Maryland tags 468287M was stolen just after midnight Thursday, police said.
