2 District 5 Democrats back gun control plan

Two Democratic candidates from District 5 have said they support a gun control plan written by Marylanders Against Handgun Abuse.

Cynthia Huggins Cummings of Silver Run, who is running for the Senate seat, and Ellen L. Willis of Westminster, a candidate for a House of Delegates seat, support Marylanders Against Handgun Abuse's position, according to a news release from the lobbying group.

Marylanders Against Handgun Abuse advocates limiting the number of handguns an individual may receive per year, expanding the list of banned assault weapons and licensing prospective buyers of handguns and handgun ammunition.
