Hampstead seeks portraits of mayors

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The town of Hampstead has started a project to put framed portraits of all the town's mayors on the walls of the Town Hall and is asking for help.

The town does not have portraits or photographs of mayors from 1888, when the town was founded, to 1973. Officials would like to borrow pictures, which will be copied and returned.

The missing mayors are: Dr. William Warehime, Thomas Hunt, Benjamin Stansbury, William A. Abbott, J. Frank Switzer, Charles W. Murray, J. William Kelbaugh, Dr. Edgar M. Bush and William Leslie Wheeler.

Anyone who has a picture can call Judy Warehime at the town office, 374-2761 or 239-7408.
