POLICE

* Mount Airy: An official of Century Ford, in the 300 block of Century Drive, told state police that someone scratched the hoods of 15 new 1994 Ford F150 pickup trucks parked in the lot on Tuesday. The official said it appeared that a sharp instrument, possibly a nail or a key, was used to cause the damage. The damage is estimated at $3,000. Police have no suspects.

* Mount Airy: Mount Airy assisted Frederick County at a trash fire in the 200 block of Moxley Street at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out for 32 minutes.
