*Ellicott City: 9100 block of Whitehall Road: A would-be burglar attempted to pry open a home's front door Friday. There was no sign of entry, police said.

*Elkridge: 6600 block of Pheasant Drive: Pry marks were found on a home's screen door and kitchen window Friday but there were no signs of entry, police said.

6700 block of Ducketts Lane: A 1994 Chevrolet Lumina van with Maryland tags 585284M was stolen Sunday morning. A blue 1991 Jeep Cherokee with Maryland tags AAP70G was stolen during the same time period, police said.
