It's a better Wednesday night for TV than most this summer, because "Models Inc." isn't on. Last week's episode, with the "Who killed Teri Spencer?" resolution (it was the receptionist) and the "meet Teri's look-alike" summer-season cliffhanger, was pathetic on both counts. Tonight Fox pre-empts "Models" to present a repeat of its Tina Turner concert, a great trade.
* "Beverly Hills, 90210" (8-9 p.m., Channel 45) -- There's one good reason I can muster to watch tonight's "Beverly Hills, 90210," and that's to compare this teen-angst Fox drama with tomorrow night's much more genuine article: the premiere of ABC's "My So-Called Life." Fox repeat.
* "Tina Turner 'What's Love?' Live" (9-10 p.m., Channel 45) -- Recorded in San Bernardino, Calif., this Turner concert, released at about the same time as her "What's Love Got To Do With It?" movie biography, includes that title song, as well as such classics as "Proud Mary" and "Better Be Good to Me." Fox repeat.
Cable
* "Biography: Prince Charles" (8-9 p.m., A&E;) -- When the producers of this latest "Biography" entry concluded their post-production work, they effectively, in the language of TV technicians, put "Prince Charles" in the can. It doesn't exactly have the same ring, or meaning, as putting Prince Albert in one, but there you go.
* "Willow" (8-10:05 p.m., DIS) -- Joanne Whalley and Val Kilmer co-starred in this 1988 fantasy film -- after which Whalley became Whalley-Kilmer. Coming up for her: playing Scarlett O'Hara in "Scarlett" on CBS.
* "Dream On" (10-10:30 p.m., HBO) -- Denny Dillon, who plays Toby the secretary on this show, has been signed by Fox to portray Roseanne (just Roseanne) in an unauthorized telemovie biography. If the star of "Roseanne" wasn't going to sue Fox before, she definitely should think about it now.
* "The Larry Sanders Show" (10:30-11 p.m., HBO) -- In the same show in which Larry (Garry Shandling) hired Tom Snyder to be host of the late-night show following his, Larry also temporarily championed Bobcat Goldthwait -- until network executives voiced strong concerns about his volatility level. Since then, the real Snyder has been hired by David Letterman to be host of the late-night show following his, and Goldthwait has gotten in trouble for setting fire to the set on "The Tonight Show." Tonight Goldthwait visits as a guest on "The Larry Sanders Show," and the results could be incendiary.
