Ceremony set for new gas line tomorrow

THE BALTIMORE SUN

To mark the installation of natural gas lines in Mount Airy, Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Bob's Big Boy Restaurant on Ridgeville Boulevard at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Mount Airy Mayor Gerald Johnson and BGE officials will be present.

Thursday, BGE will hold a Natural Gas Exposition and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Mount Airy firefighters' activity hall at Twin Arch Road and Route 27.

More than 700 town residents have been invited to meet with BGE representatives and contractors to discuss gas main locations and the benefits of natural gas.

A natural gas grill will be raffled off at the end of the evening.

In October, the Mount Airy Town Council approved the installation of natural gas lines within town limits.
