* Eldersburg: Sykesville responded to two calls of wires on fire within 14 minutes of each other during a thunderstorm Sunday evening. The first call, to the 7500 block of Norwood Road, was received at 7:43 p.m. The second call, to the 6200 block of Oak Hill Road, was received at 7:57 p.m. The volunteers were out for more than an hour.

Sykesville, Gamber and Mount Airy responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Richards Drive at 4:13 p.m. Sunday. Units were out for 20 minutes.

Sykesville and Gamber were dispatched to investigate a fire alarm sounding in a building in the 1300 block of Londontown Blvd. at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. They were back in service within four minutes.
