Today God unlatched a window
In heaven where He presides.
With one breath it sprung wide open
To reveal a jeweled tide.
He plucked a sparkling
emerald shell
From the dazzling, crystal sea;
Flung it across the universe
In a carefree moment of glee.
A fragment cascaded to Earth.
Where it burst upon the scene,
Splashing a myriad dewdrops
That bathed the land in summer green.
"He makes me to lie down in green
pastures."
