Man is fatally wounded

THE BALTIMORE SUN

BALTIMORE -- Police today were seeking the occupant of a white Ford Escort in connection with the shooting death last night of a 37-year-old West Baltimore man.

Police said the victim, Arsell T. Robinson, of the 1900 block of Edmondson Ave., was in the alley behind the 500 block of N. Brice St. shortly before 8 p.m. when someone shot him multiple times.

Witnesses told police that after they heard three or four gunshots, they saw the victim standing against the wall of a building holding his chest and crying out that he had been shot.

Moments later, the wanted vehicle was seen speeding away with the driver firing at least one shot into the air. As the victim slumped to the pavement, a pedestrian and a police officer arrived on the scene and attempted to aid the mortally wounded man.

Police said Mr. Robinson was transported by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died at 9:40 p.m.
