Dick Dutterer, a dry-cleaning executive, recently became general manager of Admiral Cleaners for Carroll County.

He is responsible for stores in Finksburg, Eldersburg, Sykesville, Mount Airy and Westminster.

Mr. Dutterer, who lives in Manchester, began his career as a presser and spotter in 1960. He is the former owner of Westminster Quality Cleaners, which was bought by Admiral.

Since 1979, he has been associated with a Hanover, Pa., dry-cleaning business, where he built a clientele that extended into Montgomery County.

Admiral Cleaners has 24 locations in Maryland, including in Anne Arundel, Prince George's and Carroll counties and on the Eastern Shore.
