Section of Route 194 to close for repairs

Route 194 (Woodsboro Pike) in Frederick County will be closed between LeGore Bridge Road and LeGore Road from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday for safety improvements at the Maryland Midland Railway crossing, the State Highway Administration has announced.

Signs and flag posts will detour motorists to LeGore Bridge Road, Clyde Young Road and LeGore Road.

Improvements include the installation of overhead railroad crossing warning lights, a prefabricated concrete road crossing surface and asphalt approaches. Amtrak Contractors of Williamsport was awarded the $376,000 contract.
