Your arteries, your veins
Drinking
Drinking
From land,
From sky,
From rivers,
From streams,
From the sea,
Flowing through you --
through us
A mixing place
For the Earth's wine.
A place
Of seasons within seasons
Layers within layers
Life within life
A being
Imperfectly perfect,
Perfectly imperfect
And beautiful
Always beautiful
Where the Earth's soul has surfaced.
And where at night,
Wide dark waters commingle
With God's bright universe.
