Man confesses to 2 Brooklyn Park armed robberies

A man jailed in Baltimore has confessed to two armed robberies in Brooklyn Park, police said.

The suspect was arrested in Baltimore on Aug. 1. Police said he was in a stolen car and had a handgun identified as the one used in the robberies.

He is also a suspect in eight armed robberies committed in Baltimore. Police said he has confessed to those crimes.

He was linked to the July 27 robbery of a Remco Rentals store in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway through a videotape provided by the store, police said.

The tape, which ran on local television stations, shows someone robbing the store.

Witnesses have identified the suspect, police said.

Troy Tyrone Partlow, 30, of the 4000 block of Hilton St. in Baltimore, is charged with the Remco robbery and with the July 25 robbery at gunpoint of the Colortyme Rentals store in the block of Ritchie Highway.
