Columbia woman is robbed by teen

A 37-year-old Columbia woman was robbed in Annapolis Tuesday night by a teen-ager who grabbed her purse as she left an Eastport restaurant.

Lynn Renee Gardner told police she was leaving the Clipper Restaurant and walking to her car in the 600 block Severn Ave. when the youth grabbed her arm, pulled her away from her car, took her purse and ran.

2 Annapolis women held on drug charges

Two Annapolis women were arrested on drug charges after police searched their apartment in the 200 block of Hilltop Lane.

Information from community residents and police surveillance led officers to the apartment, where they found 9.8 grams of crack cocaine and 0.4 grams of marijuana. They also confiscated a 1983 Honda.

Maxine Creek, 24, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and related drug charges. She was being held in the county jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Virginia Day, 42, was charged with possession of marijuana and was being held in lieu of $1,000 bond.
