Mayoral photo display planned in Hampstead

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The town of Hampstead has initiated a project aimed at putting framed portraits of all the town's mayors on the walls of the Town Hall, and it is asking for help.

The town does not have portraits or photographs of mayors from 1888, when the town was founded, to 1973. Town officials have asked to borrow pictures, which will be copied and returned.

If individual photos are not available, it might be possible to use group shots. Anyone who has a picture of a Hampstead mayor from that period is asked to call Judy Warehime at the town office, 374-2761 or 239-7408.

The missing mayors are Dr. William Warehime, Thomas Hunt, Benjamin Stansbury, William A. Abbott, J. Frank Switzer, Charles W. Murray, J. William Kelbaugh, Dr. Edgar M. Bush and William Leslie Wheeler.
