Network of professionals to guide small businesses

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The Developing Business Network, an organization of trained professionals devoted to helping small businesses grow, has been formed to act as a counselor for small business from initial development to prosperity.

The network's president is Westminster resident Alfred A. Betz. A panel of professionals from various fields, including banking, law, business planning, accounting, marketing, insurance and public relations provides advice for business success.

Also available are a quarterly newsletter and a 24-hour help line for businesses. Quarterly seminars also are planned.

Rill's Bus Service feted by its insurer

Rill's Bus Service has been awarded the Lancer Insurance Co.'s Gold Safety Award for its safety record and excellence.

The award is given annually by Lancer Insurance to policyholders that are the top achievers in all areas of safety. Rill's has served the Carroll County public schools for 26 years and the community for 15 years with charter service.

Top associates named by Long & Foster

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. has announced its top sales associates for its Carroll County offices for June.

* Eldersburg: Jackie Sellers was top seller and producer. Janice Kirkner was top lister.

* Hampstead: Barbara Pease and Chris Moore tied for top lister. Kathy Schoeffield was top seller.

* Westminster: Cliff Dull was top producer and seller. Tom Hayes was top lister.
