Men robbed of $761 in cash by 3 men claiming to have gun

Two visitors from Rockville and their local friend were robbed Monday evening as they walked on Winter Street, behind the first block of E. Main St., Westminster city police were told.

Forest Barbar and Greg Robinson, both 19 years old, told authorities that they were visiting Michael Gallo, 20, who lives in an apartment on Main Street.

They said they were returning to his apartment about 8:40 p.m. when three men approached them, said they had a gun and demanded money.

No weapon was displayed, police said.

The men turned over $761 in cash, their wallets, a pager and other personal property valued at $240, police reported.

The suspects were described as black men wearing dark, hooded sweat shirts and dark shorts. One of the suspects was wearing a green Miami Hurricanes sweat shirt, and all three had short hair, the victims said.

Police said the suspects ran west on Winter Street and escaped. No one was injured.
