The Carroll County Communications Office is seeking local nominations for the eighth annual "Maryland's Most Beautiful People" volunteer award.

The award acknowledges contributions volunteers have made to the community and state.

Nominees must be Carroll County residents and must have been involved recently in a volunteer activity currently unrelated to their jobs.

Volunteers do not have to be affiliated with any organization.

Nomination forms are available at county libraries and senior centers. They should be sent to the Communications Office, 225 N. Center St., Westminster 21157.

The deadline is Aug. 26.

A panel of judges will review all nominations and choose a winner to be honored at a county ceremony Sept. 23.
