Republican Club plans annual corn roast

The West Carroll Republican Club will have its third annual corn roast at 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at the New Windsor Carnival Grounds.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $1 for children 6 to 12. The menu includes chicken and roasted corn.

Sign rally set Saturday for GOP candidates

Friends of W. David Blair are sponsoring a sign rally for Republican candidates and supporters from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Landon C. Burns Park, Center Street and Gist Road in Westminster.

The rally will serve as the kick-off for Republican candidates to post their signs before the Sept. 13 primary election. Voter registration forms will be available.

A picnic lunch for $6.50 will be offered. Music will be provided by Vince Pericone.

Deitchman committee to hold fund-raiser

The Committee to Elect Phil Deitchman has planned a fund-raiser Aug. 16, beginning at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. and the concluding program at 9 p.m. at Frock's Sunnybrook Farm in Westminster.

A donation of $20 per person is asked and may be made payable to Committee to Elect Phil Deitchman.
