County police Lt. Dennis Wheeler will take over the campus security office at Anne Arundel Community College this month. He will replace Lt. Gary Lyle.

A 22-year veteran of the county Police Department, Lieutenant Wheeler has been a platoon commander at the Southern District.

He was promoted to lieutenant in January 1991.
