THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 43-year-old Park Heights man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday night as he was walking on Furnace Branch Road, county police said.

Glenn Edward Matthews, who lives on Garden Drive in Baltimore, told police that a man in a small white car stopped at the corner of Furnace Branch Road and Elkins Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. and asked for directions to Glen Burnie.

The man then pulled out a handgun and demanded money, xTC police said. Mr. Matthews handed over his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash and personal papers, police said.

The gunman drove away east on Furnace Branch Road, police said.
