Long & Foster ranks No. 3 nationally
Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. has been ranked third nationally by Real Trends, an industry publication that listed the country's 250 largest residential real estate brokerage firms, which it said controlled more than 1.3 million residential sales transactions in 1993.
During 1993, Long & Foster completed 45,166 transactions, which include both sales by its agents and homes it listed but which were sold by agents from other firms. The top two brokers on the list were Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage of California and Weichert Realtors of New Jersey.
Donation to be made to CF Foundation
Ryan Homes and Nottingham Properties will donate the proceeds from the sale of an end-of-group townhouse at CastleStone of White Marsh in Baltimore County and the seventh annual Hard Travelers and Friends concert Aug. 28 at Pier Six in Baltimore to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Nottingham is providing the lot for the house, and Ryan is donating the work to keep building costs as low as possible. Mike Cannizzo, Ryan president, estimates proceeds from the house will be $100,000 when it is sold.
CastleStone, when complete, will have 298 townhouses with most overlooking green space.

Builder's First Choice has been hired by Mount Village Associates to handle sales and marketing for two communities in Frederick. Mountain Village will have 900 townhouses priced from $100,000 to $110,000. Crestwood Village will have 200 patio homes costing from $130,000 to $145,000.
Century 21 Real Estate of the Mid-Atlantic States said Deborah Agro, an associate broker and salesperson with Century 21 Diana Realty Inc. in Bel Air, was named a Lifetime Member of the Harford County Realtors $1 Million Association. A Fallston resident, Ms. Agro has worked in real estate for nine years.
* The Howard County Million Dollar Club recently inducted nine members into the group, which is open to real estate salespeople with more than $2 million in annual sales. The club's activities include sponsoring a scholarship program and providing assistance to "distressed" families in the county.
The new members are Chuck Marshall, of Remax Advantage; Anne Cooke and Bess Liberman, O'Conor, Piper & Flynn; and Mark Leone, Carol Coberth, William Inglis, Ted Meyerson, Sharon Keeny and Judy O'Leary, Long & Foster Real Estate Inc.
