St. Vincent Pallotti High School has announced that faculty member Dorothy Stahley will participate in a biotechnology workshop at the University of Maryland at College Park.

The workshop, funded by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, will provide hands-on experience with the latest technology to make biology less intimidating and more attractive to students in the classroom or laboratory.

Participants will receive information on the latest trends in biotechnology with an emphasis on creating lab activities for students.

Mrs. Stahley has been a member of the school's faculty for 17 years.
