STOLEN CAR/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a 17-year-old resident of the 1600 block of W. Fayette St. and charged him as a juvenile with auto theft after he struck a police car. Officer William Whitehead pursued the 1994 Toyota Camry with rental tags after spotting it being driven carelessly northbound in the first block of Franklintown Road, a southbound one-way street, early today. When Officer Whitehead attempted to stop the car, the driver crashed the Toyota into the police car and then jumped out of the car. The youth attempted to flee but was caught by Officer Whitehead and other officers. The officer was not injured. The youth refused to talk to police, who were attempting to learn from where the car was stolen.
STOLEN CAR: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking the driver of a stolen 1992 Ford Escort who struck a police car and a truck while both vehicles were parked on Lyndhurst Street and Colborne Road Monday night while the officer was investigating an unrelated incident inside a nearby house. Police said it was not immediately known from where the car was stolen.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $200 was stolen from a house in the 3500 block of Forest Park Ave. Monday by someone who entered through a second floor door.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 4200 block of Groveland Ave. through the front door Sunday and stole property valued at nearly $900.
ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed the H Gear auto supply store in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money Monday after threatening to kill an employee.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two gunmen robbed the Royal Farm store in the 200 block of E. Cold Spring Lane Monday of more than $100.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Two women knocked a woman down in the 4100 block of St. George's Ave. Monday and robbed her of cash and property, all valued at $70. Later, police arrested two suspects near the scene and were holding them pending charges.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Two bikes and lawn-care equipment, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen from a garage in the 5400 block of Falls Road Monday by someone who entered through a door.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR and video games, all valued at more than $500, were stolen from a house in the 4400 block of Old York Road Monday by someone who entered through the front door.
MURDER TRY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Police were seeking two youths who fired several shots from a handgun into the sliding glass door of a first-floor apartment at the Liberty Crossing Apartments in the 8500 block of Glen Michael Lane Monday night. While the apartment's two occupants and two guests were seated in the dining room shortly before 10 p.m., someone fired at least four shots from a semi-automatic handgun. The occupants fell to the floor as the bullets pierced the glass door. None of the occupants was injured. Outside the apartment, police found four shell casings from a .380 handgun. Residents reported seeing two teen-age males fleeing the scene shortly after the shots were fired. Police knew of no motive for the incident.
BURGLARY: White Marsh Precinct -- Someone entered a garage in the 10800 block of Philadelphia Road with a key over the weekend and stole tools valued at nearly $1,500.
