FIRE ASSAULT: Eastern District -- A 74-year-old man was listed in critical condition in the burn unit at the Bayview Medical Center yesterday, and police charged his 42-year-old wife with setting him on fire. Police said rubbing alcohol was thrown on the man and ignited during an argument in the couple's home in the 1600 block of N. Durham St.
SHOOTING: Southern District -- A 37-year-old Anne Arundel County man was listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after police found him lying on the ground at Latrobe Park in the 1500 block of E. Fort Ave. early yesterday. The man had been shot in the forehead, and police said the wound may have been self-inflicted. The shooting remained under investigation.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $100 was stolen from a house in the 3700 block of Menlo Drive over the weekend by someone who entered through a window.
STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A white 1991 Pontiac Grand Am with Maryland tags ZHJ 183 was stolen from the 5800 block of Narcissus Ave. over the weekend.
STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- Someone stole a 1990 Honda Accord with unknown New York tags from the 3200 block of Dorithan Road Sunday.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a state Department of Social Services office in the 4000 block of Mortimer Ave. over the weekend. It was not known if any property was taken.
STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A blue 1991 Acura Legend with District of Columbia license 499841 was stolen over the weekend from the 3600 block of Clarks Lane.
STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1993 Dodge Shadow with Maryland government tags SG 06986 was stolen Saturday from the 5900 block of Western Run Drive.
STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A blue 1994 Dodge with Maryland tags BKE 324 was stolen over the weekend from the 5800 block of Western Run Drive.
ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a woman who struck another woman over the head with a broken bottle in the 3600 block of Park Heights Ave. Sunday. The victim, a resident of the 2500 block of Violet Ave., was cut on her scalp.
ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A male resident of the 2800 block of Gatehouse Drive was bitten on the neck, back and shoulders by a woman at his home Sunday.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- A man entered his girlfriend's home in the 3100 block of Lawnview Ave. Saturday and allegedly stole property valued at more than $600.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 10-speed bike valued at $200 was stolen from a house in the 1600 block of E. 28th St. Sunday.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Stereo equipment valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a house in the 5000 block of Denview Way over the weekend.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5000 block of Raintree Way through a kitchen window Sunday and stole an iron and $200.
RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police were seeking a young man who entered an apartment in the 5100 block of Goodnow Road Sunday and raped a girl.
ROBBERY: Garrison Precinct -- Three men entered a townhouse in the 12300 block of Bonmot Place early Sunday and stole property of unknown value at gunpoint. While two men, one with a handgun, kept watch on the three occupants -- a 46-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy -- the house was ransacked. None of the occupants was injured.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- An employee of the Royal Farm Store in the 6400 block of Security Blvd. was about to make a night deposit at a nearby Maryland National Bank branch Sunday when a man who implied he had a handgun ordered him to place the money in a bag. The bandit escaped with an undisclosed sum.
