County police arrested a second man Thursday in connection with a series of indecent-exposure incidents along the Baltimore-Annapolis Trail, just one day after they took another suspect into custody, authorities said.
Officer Eric Snair of the Eastern District answered a call about a man running nude on the bike trail about 6 p.m. He drove his car onto the trail and went north until he was almost behind the Horizons, an office building in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway, where he saw an unclothed man hiding behind bushes across from the building.
Officer Snair got out of his car and walked toward the man, who fled to some thick bushes nearby, police said. The officer followed the man, ordered him out of the bushes, and arrested him, police said.
Thomas A. Vongarlem Jr., 33, of the 8200 block of Brookwood Road in Millersville, was charged with indecent exposure, police said. He was released on his own recognizance.
Wednesday evening, Dennis H. Hook, 41, of the first block of Kellington Drive was arrested in connection with an indecent-exposure incident that took place on the bike trail June 11, police said. He was released on $1,500 bail.
