THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered the clerk's office at the police station in the 1000 block of N. Mount St. Thursday and stole $11 from an employee's purse.
THEFT: Western District -- Five $100 bills and a tape rewinder, all valued at $540, were stolen from a house in the 1300 block of W. Lexington St. Thursday.
CARJACKING: Northwestern District -- Three men, one with a handgun, robbed a motorist of his Jeep Cherokee with Maryland tags 637380M in the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. Thursday.
RAPE: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 5100 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. Thursday and raped the occupant at knifepoint. The victim was treated at an area hospital.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A pizza deliveryman was in the 4700 block of Greenspring Ave. Thursday when he was robbed of $100 by a woman and two men, one of whom was armed.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A 26-inch mountain bike and a 10-speed bike were stolen from a garage in the 4400 block of Greenway Thursday.
ROBBERY/ARREST: Northern District -- One youth was arrested and another was being sought in connection with robbing a woman of her purse and $8 at knifepoint in the 2400 block of Maryland Ave. Thursday.
THEFT: Northern District -- A generator valued at $500 was stolen from a van parked in the 2500 block of N. Charles St. Thursday.
SHOOTING: Towson Precinct -- A 17-year-old resident of the 3600 block of Howard Park Ave. in the city was shot in the back early Thursday morning while standing with friends at a playground in the first block of Venus Court. As four men approached the group around 1 a.m., one of them pulled out a handgun and began firing. When the victim and his friends fled, a bullet struck the victim in the back. He was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment and released. Police were seeking the gunman and his accomplices.
ROBBERY: Wilkens Precinct -- A gunman wearing a ski mask robbed the Taco Bell restaurant in the 5200 block of Baltimore National Pike of an undisclosed sum of money. Before fleeing, the gunman forced several employees inside a walk-in freezer. After a few minutes, the employees exited the freezer unharmed and called the police.
STOLEN TRUCK: Essex Precinct -- A 1990 Chevrolet truck with Maryland tags 071549 was stolen from the 8800 block of Pulaski Highway Thursday.
BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- When a resident of the 7800 block of Liberty Road returned home Thursday, she found the front door open. While reporting a burglary in progress to police on a nearby pay phone, the woman saw a man fleeing her house. After entering her home with police, the occupant found a TV, VCR, cash and other items were missing.
