A member of the county police P.A.C.T. (Police and Community Together) squad that patrols Freetown Village arrested a man on drug charges Friday, police said yesterday.

Officer Arthur Hatcher had noticed the man, whom he knew to be the subject of several outstanding arrest warrants, about 6:30 p.m. driving a red Mazda on Willie Johnson Lane near Huff Court, police said.

The suspect was being sought on three warrants for failure to appear in court, said Officer Randy Bell, a police spokesman.

The officer followed the suspect to a townhouse on Willing Court, where he asked the man for identification and was given a driver's license that listed his birth date as Aug. 5, 1992, police said.

Officer Hatcher arrested the man on the outstanding warrants, searched him and found a plastic bag containing a rock that field-tested positive for crack cocaine in the suspect's right sock, police said.

Dennis Logan White, 21, of the 7800 block of Huff Court in Pasadena was charged with possession of crack cocaine, police said.
