* Clara B. Williams, 108, who worked with her three sons, all physicians, to establish the Williams Medical Clinic in Chicago, died there Sunday. In 1937, she became the first black to graduate from the New Mexico State University. The commencement ceremony was boycotted by other graduates.

* William Sebastian "Sabby" Lewis, 79, a pianist who played with Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Billy Eckstine and other jazz greats, died Saturday in Marstons Mills, Mass. He played in New York ballrooms and clubs.
