In an article in The Evening Sun yesterday about a shoplifting at Eastpoint Mall, a security guard on the scene was incorrectly identified as the suspect. The guard, Edward J. Cramer, Jr., was injured when he was struck by a car driven by the fleeing suspect, who was later charged with assault with intent to kill and theft of property of less than $300.

The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.

Baltimore City

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man was walking in the " 600 block of E. 25th St. Thursday when he was robbed of his wallet and $25 by four men armed with sticks.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A radar detector, $200, and toll tickets were stolen from a 1988 Oldsmobile Thursday while the car was parked in the 2300 block of E. Northern Parkway.

STABBING: Northwestern District-- A man was in the 4000 block of Park Heights Ave. Wednesday when another man stabbed him in the back. He was listed today in good condition at the Liberty Medical Center.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered an apartment in the 3500 block of Fairview Ave. Wednesday and stole property valued at $119.

CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1994 Dodge Shadow with Maryland tags BJW 303 was stolen from the 5100 block of Glenoak Ave. overnight Wednesday.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Cockeysville Percinet Someone entered an home under construction in the frist block of Chalmal Court Wednesday. It was not known if property was stolen.

ASSAULT TO KILL/ARREST: North Point Precinct -- A security officer for Sears Roebuck at the Eastpoint Mall in the 7800 block of Eastern Boulevard was injured Thursday when he was struck by a car driven by a shoplifting suspect. While pursuing the suspect on foot, the officer was hit and knocked onto the hood and windshield. Police arrested John Edward Cramer, 25, of the 2200 block of Mura St. and charged him with assault with intent to kill and theft of property less than $300.

BURGLARY: Towson Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the 6500 block of Falkirk Road through a bedroom window Thursday and stole $140 and three gold rings.

BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- Someone entered a home in the 8300 block of Bruning Woods Road in Pikesville Thursday through a sliding glass door. It was not known if any property was stolen.
