Baltimore man charged with stealing from store

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Baltimore man was arrested Saturday for allegedly stealing $39.90 worth of goods from a Royal Farm store in the 300 block of South Camp Meade Road, county police said yesterday.

According to police, a man was seen concealing merchandise in a bag that he brought in the store with him. Officers approached the man in the store, where he told them he was taking candy for his children.

Officers said the same man was cited earlier that day for not paying the fare on the light rail line and that he was arrested June 5 on a charge of shoplifting at the Caldor store in the Cromwell Fields shopping center.

Police charged Clayborne Marshall, 37, of the 1400 block of Mosher St. with theft of items worth less than $300.
