* Dr. Edward J. Anderson, superintendent of Anne Arundel schools, says that the county library board and four civic organizations have a month to convince him that a joint community and school library should be built in Severna Park. State law gives him veto power. -- The Sun, July 3, 1969.

* Anne Arundel County taxes were increased at the start of the fiscal year from 30 percent of the state tax to 50 percent, retroactive to Jan. 1 of this year. -- The Sun, July 6, 1969.
