* Savage: 8500 block of Storch Woods Drive: A would-be thief tampered with a deadbolt lock on a front door Sunday, but police said there was no entry.

* Jessup: 8000 block of Dorsey Run Road: Someone ripped out an audible alarm box and cut telephone wires from the Pump and Power Equipment Corp. building Friday.
