25 Years Ago (Week of June 8-14, 1969):

* It was announced that the faculty and staff of the new Patapsco model middle school would hold a summer session for students at Glenwood Middle School. The purpose of the session was to provide training for the staff of the new school.

* Howard County's Community Action Council developed a proposed budget of $376,000 for the next year's War on Poverty in Howard County. Of this amount, $296,000 would be provided by the federal government. The remainder would be provided by the county in the form of services.

50 Years Ago (Week of June 11-17, 1944):

* The Howard County Public Health Association petitioned County Commissioners for funding and approval to move to newer offices. They hoped to move to a more convenient location.
